Water Treatment
You may have a water source that you want to use, but there is something about the water that makes it unsuitable for your purpose. The water may be 'hard' which can result in a chalky residue build up on shower walls and in electric jugs and hot water cylinders, shortening their life. Or it might contain iron or manganese that stains whatever it touches a certain shade of brown. Any of these problems might be combined with low pH, which means the water is acidic and corrosive too. If some of your plumbing system is made of copper, this can result in that bluey/green stain that's sometimes seen under a drippy tap.
Whatever the case, we can help, so drop in, send us an email or give us a call!
Water Testing
When considering treating water to alter its qualities it's essential that the water is thoroughly tested so that baseline levels can be established. Only then can the most suitable treatment system be selected, and its effectiveness be measured once it's up and running.
We keep test kits on hand at our shop at all times. If you need a water test drop in and pick up a test kit. When you get home put the chilly pads in the kit in your freezer and read through the instructions for taking samples.
After the chilly pads are frozen follow the instructions to take the water samples and then return the kit to us BEFORE 2PM on MONDAY, TUESDAY or WEDNESDAY. This will allow us to get your samples to the laboratory overnight and with enough time for them to do the tests before the weekend.
After about 5 working days we'll receive your results, and we'll immediately share them and discuss with you the options available to
correct the water.
